EWU and the Big Sky

Three days until the Eagles face Washington State. Until then, there's plenty of topics from both sides. And don't forget, we'll have a live chat Thursday noon on all things EWU football. Before that, our own Christian Caple will have a WSU football chat today at 1 p.m. Christian also has his first look at the Cougars' next opponent . (Does anyone have a clue why these schools haven't played each other in 104 years? I have a pretty good idea.)

Closer to hime, here's my feature in today's paper on Eagle defensive tackle Evan Cook, who one day hopes to be a coach, but on Saturday, will be one of the larger X's on the field. ...In another story that touches on both schools, former EWU athletic director and current WSU assistant John Johnson is a favorite to win the head job at Montana, according to this story by Howie Stalwick. Speaking of Montana, here's a first look at the Grizzlies' big game this week at Appalachian State, courtesy of the Missoulian. Meanwhile, Montana State's head coach faces an emotional homecoming this week at Drake.
