EWU and Big Sky links

I'm sure the sun came up again yesterday in Cheney, although not without visions of what might have been Saturday in Pullman. Here's a short video clip of the final play, which appears to show EWU wid receiver Nicholas Edwards getting one hand on the ball, but unable to do any more than that as the ball flutters to the turf. ... After the game, I was impressed the the heads-held-high attitude of the players. Head coach Beau Baldwin, too, seems to have a great ability to throw away the rear-view mirror and continue down the highway. I'll catch up with the Eagles tomorrow, but for now, here are a few links to the rest of the Big Sky Conference:

Sacramento State did it again. One year after knocking off Oregon State, the Hornets stung Colorado last weekend, with their kicker not only getting the game-winning field goal, but also something much more valuable. ...But the Sacramento Bee points out that the Hornets faded to 4-7 last year. ... Perhaps even more exciting, Northern Arizona scored 17 straight points to stun UNLV 17-14. ... Eastern's next opponent, Weber State, fell 45-13 at BYU; here's the report from the Salt Lake Tribune. From the Missoulian, here's a nice story on Montana's 35-27 loss at Appalachian State. ... The Big Sky preseason favorite MSU Bobcats barely beat Drake; here's the report from the Bozeman Chronicle.
