And what did I do during the Eagles' bye week? Watched college football from my couch, of course. Too bad Weber State wasn't on the tube, but we'll be catching up with the Wildcats this week. Weber, which hosts EWU on Saturday, is 0-3, losing last night to No. 19 McNeese State, a perennial playoff team. Montana, the Eagles' opponent on Sept. 29 at Roos Field, continues to impress, thrashing FBS-bound Liberty. Here's the story from the Missoulian. Meanwhile, No. 3 Montana State outlasted Stephen F. Austin. Elsewhere in the Big Sky, North Dakota gave FBS team San Diego State everything it wanted, and Portland State was thrashed at Washington, Cal Davis lost to South Dakota by an unusual score. In a non-conference game matching Big Sky teams (got that?), Sacramento State struggled past Northern Colorado,
