EWU and Big Sky links

The Eagles start two-a-days today, and I'll be joining them.  For the morning session only. On the sidelines, With a cold beverage. Then I'll be driving back to my air-conditioned office to write about the experience. Sorry, that's as good as it gets. Until then, here are a few links from the weekend:

Remember that most teams took Sunday off, so most of these links cover activities on Saturday. The Eagles' first opponent, Oregon State, is already deep into practice. Here's the report from the Oregonian, including a story on Sautrday's reportedly sloppy practice session. ... Want to learn more about the Western Oregon football program? Here's a link to the Wolves' official athletic site. ... The Montana Grizzlies held their first full-pads practice on Saturday, with an emphasis on the running game. ... Montana State held its first scrimmage Saturday, with the defense dominating. In addition to that story, the Bozeman Daily Chronicle has a nice feature on Cats' QB DeNarius McGhee. ... From the Grand Forks Herald, here's a feature on UND's revamped defense. .... From Texas we have a nice overview of Sam Houston State, which is picked to win the Southland Conference.
