WSU may be losing a linebacker
The Spokesman has learned that there is a strong possibility that sophomore linebacker Feddie Davey will not return to Washington State next semester. The school is currently between semesters and the students are on break. Davey saw most of his action on special teams, and accumulated two tackles on the season. He also excelled at times during WSU's Thursday Night Football underclassmen scrimmages, and earned a reputation as a big-hitter.
Davey did not play in the New Mexico Bowl last weekend, and it is unclear if he traveled with the team. Davey did play in WSU's previous game, the Apple Cup at Washington.
A team official was unable to comment on the situation, as Davey has not yet formally left the team and the program's policy is to not comment on personnel matters. The situation is fluid and it is still possible for Davey to rejoin the Cougars.
