One win could bring big jump

The way the Spokane Chiefs, Tri-City Americans and Victoria Royals are bunched together in Western Conference standings, there's going to be a lot of shifting going on duriing the final 18 games of the regular season. Spokane (64 points) is in sixth place, one point behind Tri-City (65), which is at the Arena tonight for the ninth game in the season series between the big rivals. Fourth-place Victoria (66) is idle tonight, so the Chiefs could leap from sixth to a tie for fourth with a victory tonight. Fourth place could be Spokane's alone by also defeating Victoria at the Arena on Sunday. Tonight's game will start in 20 minutes.
