Chiefs welcome Americans

The Spokane Chiefs and Tri-City Americans will renew their long-standing Western Hockey League rivalry in 30 minutes at the Arena. Spokane leads the season series 4-2-0-1, but the Americans have won the last two matchups. By winning tonight, Tri-City (26-17-1-2, 55 points) would tie Spokane (28-16-1-0) for the fourth-best record in the Western Conference. As it stands now, Spokane and Tri-City would be in line to meet in the first round of the WHL playoffs, but No. 6 Victoria is on a hot streak and lurks four points behind Tri-City.
