Eight WSU football players earn All-Academic honors
From Pullman -- Eight Washington State football players have been honored for the success in the classroom, the Pac-12 announced Tuesday. Junior receiver Kristoff Williams was named to the Pac-12 All-Academic first team for sporting a 3.65 grade-point average while majoring in criminal justice. Williams has earned All-Academic honorable mention the past two years.
Senior right tackle John Fullington was named to the All-Academic second team after posting a 3.25 GPA while majoring in movement studies. He, too, has been honorable mention the past two seasons.
Six Cougars were named received honorable mention recognition including: Senior center Elliott Bosch, senior offensive lineman Zach Brevick, senior linebacker Jared Byers, junior longsnapper Alex Deb Bleyker and senior kicker Andrew Furney.
To be eligible, players had to have at least a 3.0 GPA and either be a starter or a "significant contributor."
