Washington State lands a defensive end recruit
Defensive end Hunter Mattox of Chatsworth, Calif., changed his mind about playing at OSU and will go to WSU instead.
Reporters from both Rivals.com and Scout.com have confirmed that Mattox will head to Washington State next fall to play for Mike Leach and his new defensive coordinator. While the 6-foot-4, 255-pound Mattox is expected to play on the defensive side of the ball, his primary recruiter was running backs coach Jim Mastro, according to Britton Ransford of WazzuWatch.com
Ransford says that the Cougars offered Mattox a scholarship earlier this week and that Mastro visited his home on Wednesday.
