WHL notes: Chiefs send apology to fans

This week's Western Hockey League notebook leads with the Spokane Chiefs taking steps to apologize to fans for an incident that occurred last Friday during the singing of the national anthem. The Chiefs players involved, who made comments during the anthem, were sitting in the stands and not competing in the game. Although reports of what the players shouted during the anthem are varied, the Chiefs made certain to apologize to the anthem singer and military members who were upset that the anthem was not respected.
