Streaky Clark seeks turnaround
There can't be a Northwest League player who has undergone more of an up-and-down season than Indians all-star center fielder LeDarious Clark. Read game story
Clark was batting .436 when the Indians departed for a five-game series at Hillsboro that started July 9.
Hops pitchers silenced Clark and held him hitless in 18 at-bats, leaving him with an average of .354.
Clark rebounded during the next nine days and boosted his average back to .377 with a 15-for-34 streak.
Since then, Clark has been on a 2-for-29 skid that dropped his average to .321. He couldn't catch a break on Friday as his liner into the gap in right-center was hauled in by diving Eugene right fielder Kevonte Mitchell.
