Morning links: Cougars get their swag on

Washington State held its first El Paso practice yesterday. Then the Cougars hit the gift suite.

The way the suite works, items are assigned points values between one and seven, and each player is allotted seven points to select whatever gifts they want. The prize, a leather recliner complete with cup holders and electrical outlets, cost all seven points. But to the Miami players, perhaps the party cooler or golf clubs were more enticing.

Here's my notebook from yesterday and post practice videos of Mike Leach and Graham Harrell.  The basketball team didn't fare too well in its matchup with No. 3 Oklahoma.

The Cougars aren't the only ones having fun in El Paso. Stefanie Loh wrote about a group of WSU parents who are reaching out to their peers who also have kids on the team.
