EWU’s Harvey honored again by the Big Sky
After a 61-point weekend, Eastern Washington guard Tyler Harvey has been selected as the co-Big Sky Conference Player of the Week for the third time this season.
On Thursday, Harvey had a 35-point game against Northern Colorado, his fourth of at least 30 this season and 10th of his career. He added 26 points two days later against North Dakota. The Eagles beat the Bears 95-85 and then scored 67 points in the first half of a 102-80 win over UND to already match last year's win total with a 15-5 record.
Harvey shared the honor with Sacramento State guard Mikh McKinney.
The nation's leader in scoring (24.1 points per game) and 3-pointers (4.40 per game), Harvey made 16-of-27 (59 percent) shots overall last week. He made 7-of-15 (47 percent) from the 3-point line and 22-of-25 (88 percent) from the charity stripe. He also had seven rebounds, seven assists and a pair of steals.
