EWU’s Jois expected to play against Idaho
Eastern Washington forward Venky Jois, sidelined for almost two weeks with an ankle injury, was practicing at full speed Tuesday and should see action Saturday against Idaho, coach Jim Hayford said Wednesday.
Jois, the Eagles' top rebounder (7.5 rpg) and second-leading scorer (18.0 ppg), hasn't played since he suffered a right ankle injury early in a game Jan. 15 at Portland State. In his absence, the Eagles are 3-1 going into Saturday's game against the Vandals at Reese Court.
Hayford said that Jois' biggest challenge is "working on his own fears of getting hurt and building on the trust that he's healed."
