Gonzaga Prep girls coach Mike Arte was probably picking nits when he talked about better ball movement by his offense.

“We just have to get better ball movement in our zone (offense), the back of the zone,” Arte said. “It was a good start. I was very, very pleased with our defense.”

The Bullpups are at state for a fourth straight year. Even a veteran team has jitters.

"You always have jitters when you come out no matter how many times you’ve played here," Arte said. "The girls handled that really well."

Arte believes a third scorer must step up. That could be senior wing Oona Harrington.

"We need a little more bench," he said. "I thought Oona started well but then ran into a little funk (foul trouble)."
