Eagles look for identity - and a win over ISU

Good morning from Pocatello, where Eastern Washington plays Idaho State later Saturday afternoon and (nearly) sold-out Holt Arena. I was at the team walkthrough Friday afternoon, and here's my report, which doubles as a preview of the game. The hometown Idaho State Journal offers this preview from the Idaho State perspective, while both schools offer lots of info on the game. Here are all the details from EWU and from ISU. ... There's a big game today in Portland, where Montana State visits PSU. This story in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle says third- and fourth-down conversions will be crucial (then again, aren't they always?). The Billings Gazette weighs in with this preview.... Besides Eastern, there's only one team that's unbeaten in Big Sky play. That  would be the Thunderbirds of Southern Utah, who host Sacramento State in a game that will be a major adustment for the SUU offense.
