Morning links: WSU uncatchable against OSU

The Cougars couldn’t score in the second half. It barely mattered.

Our game story from Washington State's 52-31 win over Oregon State on Saturday shows how the Cougars built a lead the Beavers could never overcome (that's the running game story but we'll figure out why the full version isn't online and fix it ASAP).

S-R columnist John Blanchette was on hand for the game and he believes the Cougars have finally turned the corner. Senior wide receiver Dom Williams was one of the game's brightest stars. Here are our keys to the game. CougCenter and the Seattle Times also have game recaps. Matt Calkins has a story about former Cougar George Yarno and his son.

On the OSU side, the Beavers are happy they finished strong despite their poor first-half defense.

Up in Seattle the Ducks made it a dozen against the Huskies. USC couldn't get the rivalry win against Notre Dame. … Utah took control of the Pac-12 South with a big fourth quarter against Arizona State. … Colorado fell just short against Arizona.
