Name change coming for Spokane IFL team

Spokane's on-again, off-again scrap with the Arena Football League over Shock trademarks didn't end well. Here's my article.

The AFL's asking price kept rising and Shock majority owner Nader Naini, one of many AFL owners to help foot the bills for several struggling franchises the last two years (and former owner Brady Nelson doing the same from 2010-13), finally said no way. The price tag was well into six figures (really!?!?), and one can hardly blame Naini for balking at writing out another big check to the AFL.

So, the Shock will not be known as the Shock in its new home, the Indoor Football League in 2016. The team is rebranding and is asking fans for name/logo suggestions. Suggestions can be sent to info@spokanefootball.com.
