Big Sky Men's Basketball

Eastern Washington Eagles (15-10, 9-4)

at Sacramento State Hornets (8-16, 5-7)

Outlook: Winners of six straight and nine of their last 11 games, the Eagles are riding a wave of momentum into the last road games of the season. “We’re really happy with the sweep, and now it’s time to match last week’s road wins with some more road wins,” coach Jim Hayford said after beating North Dakota and Northern Colorado. EWU is among the most efficient teams in the country, scoring 1.04 points per possession, and ranks sixth nationally in both field-goal percentage (49.9 percent) and 3-point field goals made (10.6). The Eagles are still two games behind Big Sky leaders Montana and Weber State in the loss column, but have the inside track on a top-four finish. Meanwhile, Sacramento State has lost three straight and lost by just two last weekend at fourth-place Idaho State. Guard Cody Demps is back after missing nine games with a quadriceps injury. - Jim Allen
