Spokane's 11th season of indoor football begins with a new league (the IFL), a new/familiar coach (Adam Shackleford, Shock coach from 2007-09) and the renewal of a regional rivalry with Tri-Cities (the franchises last squared off in 2009 as members of arenafootball2).

After just two weeks of practice, the Empire and Fever collide at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Toyota Center in Kennewick.

Here's my game preview that will run in Saturday's S-R.
