Getting There

Just a few days left to share your thoughts on Spokane’s bike plan

A neighborhood greenway on Hamilton. An improved Trolley Trail. Connecting the Centennial Trail to the Fish Lake Trail.

These are just a few of the potential changes to the city's Master Bike Plan. You have until Monday, Feb. 23, to say something about the plan. Check out a bigger version of the map above here.

We wrote about the bike plan - and your chance to comment on it - last month. Judging by the comments on that post, the city's got an earful about how improving bike facilities is a waste of money.

The Spokane City Council is expected to approve any changes to the plan next month. Believe it or not, city officials listen to what people say.So here's your chance.

The period for public input on the proposed changes runs through Monday, Feb. 23, at 4 p.m. Written comments can be sent to Nathan Gwinn at ngwinn@spokanecity.org. To mail your comments, please visit the project page for the Master Bike Plan Comprehensive Plan Amendment at SpokaneCity.org, or check out this page describing the proposed changes.
