Come one, come all cyclists to hear about all the snazzy new bike lanes the city is considering putting downtown.

Next week, the city of Spokane is is hosting an open house to talk about the second phase of work on the Downtown Bicycle Network.

Currently, the city project will add bike lanes on Spokane Falls Boulevard from Division Street to Post Street, and on Main Avenue from Howard Street to Pine Street.  Main Street will be re-striped (repeat: with bike lanes) and the possibility of adding more parking spaces by angling them is on the table.

Come listen, come speak, come look at all the great maps they'll surely have displayed.

All the fun details:

WHEN: Tuesday, March 10, from 5 to 7 p.m.

WHERE: Community Building Lobby, 35 W. Main Street

WHO: You and me, some city people, maybe some other people who wander in

WHY: Because bikes are awesome. So is more parking!

WHAT:What?

HOW:Ride your bike to this event. Obviously.

Lastly, you may have missed your chance to give your input on the city's big ole bike plan, but it's never too late to look at this map.
