Is Miley A Role Model? 15

Some criticism of Miley's new movie certainly makes sense, after all, it's about a character named Miley Stewart who's on-screen dad is actually her real dad, and let's not forget that it's about a pop star acting like a diva. And remember news earlier this…

ZINE: "An abbreviation of the word 'fanzine', or magazine...the term encompasses any self-published work of minority interest..."Ha! I must say - this particular article on Wikipedia is wrong - dead wrong - about zines being "of minority interest". The 'world of the zine' is expanding…

In 2006, then-editor Steve Smith of The Spokesman-Review had the idea of starting a publication for an often forgotten audience: teenagers. The Vox Box was a continuation of the Vox, an all-student staffed newspaper published by The Spokesman-Review. High school student journalists who staffed the Vox made all content decisions as they learn about the trade of journalism. This blog's mission was to give students an opportunity to publish their voices. The Vox Box and the Vox wrapped up in June 2009, but you can follow former staffers' new blog at http://voxxiez.blogspot.com.
