Is the U.S. Supporting Foreign Dictators?

Today’s PARADE magazine released their annual article, “The World’s 10 Worst Dictators” (click on dictator to learn more). The descriptions of suffering and oppression were disgusting, but that isn’t what truly enraged me about the article. Below the dictator’s name and description of their rule…

Seattle Post-Intelligencer: No more... 27

Never again do I ever want to have to type the name of a newsprint publication, such as the Seattle P-I, followed by the words 'web-shift' and 'bankruptcy.' Today marks the final edition of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, a paper described as the "scrappy, blue-collar rabble-rouser…

In 2006, then-editor Steve Smith of The Spokesman-Review had the idea of starting a publication for an often forgotten audience: teenagers. The Vox Box was a continuation of the Vox, an all-student staffed newspaper published by The Spokesman-Review. High school student journalists who staffed the Vox made all content decisions as they learn about the trade of journalism. This blog's mission was to give students an opportunity to publish their voices. The Vox Box and the Vox wrapped up in June 2009, but you can follow former staffers' new blog at http://voxxiez.blogspot.com.
