“Personal Identity and Storytelling”
Joe Albert, Ph.D., associate dean of external partnerships and strategic initiatives in the School of Professional Studies at Gonzaga University, will discuss “Personal Identity and Storytelling.” The lecture focuses on the nature of storytelling and its unique role in the human experience. Albert will focus on the power of creating one’s own story and will share methods of approaching of that narrative. While storytelling offers great power in its ability to influence others, Albert notes, personal experiences and stories we tell ourselves about those experiences can shape our personal and family identities. The event will take place in the Herak Club Room at the McCarthey Athletic Center.
