The Friends of Manito Spring Plant Sale, originally scheduled for June 6, has been canceled out of concern for the health and well-being of volunteers and the general public. The organization is optimistic that it will be able to hold its Fall Plant Sale as scheduled on August 29.

Broadway in Spokane has announced its 2020-21 season, a mix of rescheduled performances and new. “The Book of Mormon,” scheduled for May 5-10, has been canceled. “Jersey Boys” has been rescheduled from April 2-5 to Feb. 3-6, 2021. Nat Geo Live!: Social in Nature has been rescheduled from April 16 to June 18. Nat Geo Live!: From Summit to Sea on May 21 and “Mean Girls” from August 11-16 will take place as planned. New additions are “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” from Nov. 14-15, “Anastasia” from Dec. 22-27, “Cats” from Jan. 12-17, “Come From Away” from Feb. 16-21, Nat Geo Live!: Force of Nature on March 11, “Hamilton” from April 13, 2021-May 9, 2021, Nat Geo Live!: Improbable Ascent on May 13, 2021, “Fiddler on the Roof” from May 18-23, 2021 and Nat Geo Live!: How to Clone a Mammoth on June 9, 2021.

The Spokane Symphony Concerts have been canceled for the remainder of the 2019-2020 season. Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox has also canceled most other shows, with exceptions: Walt Wagner Trio has been rescheduled for June 5, Ronnie Millsap has been rescheduled for Sept. 28, Glenn Miller Orchestra has been rescheduled for March 22, 2021 and The Allman Betts Band, Star Wars in Concert, Julia Sweeney: Older and Wider Taping and The Flaming Lips are postponed and pending reschedule. Lake City Playhouse’s production of the musical “Matilda,” set to open on April 10, is being postponed. Theater officers say they hope to stage the show this summer.

2nd Look Books canceled the book signing with Stephen Pitters, scheduled for March 28. This follows a two-week closure of the store.

Musicfest Northwest has canceled its festival for this year. It will postpone its 75th anniversary celebration until May 2021. Visit musicfestnorthwest.org for more information and new educational offerings.

Whitman County Library District has now closed all book drops and is asking patrons to keep library resources at home until they reopen.

The Girl Scouts of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho have canceled all booth sales of Girl Scout Cookies, which were scheduled to run March 27-April 19. Delivery of pre-ordered cookies has been delayed at least two weeks, to help preserve social distancing protocol. Details on delivery options will be released at a later time.

The Hope for Creation Conference, scheduled for April 17 and 18 at St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral, is postponed until further notice.

The Spokane Bike Swap and Expo, set for April 18 at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center, has been postponed, with a new date to be announced later.

The North Idaho Just Between Friends consignment sale scheduled for April 17-19 at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds has been pushed back to June 19-21.

The Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre box office will be closed to walk-in customers until April 6. Patrons may email info@cdasummertheatre.com or phone (208) 660-2958 during normal business hours, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

The Spokane Authors and Self-Publishers meeting scheduled for April 2 has been canceled.

All areas of Northern Quest Resort & Casino, Kaslipel Casino, Kalispel Golf and Country Club and Fatburger 5-mile will be closed for at least two weeks. Effective immediately.

The Spokane Valley Senior Center at CenterPlace Regional Event Center, operated by the city of Spokane Valley, will close remain closed through April 24. Additionally, the Arbor Day celebration will be rescheduled in the fall, and all city parks and recreation classes though April 24 are canceled.

All Kootenai County Fairgrounds events are postponed through April. Visit www.kcfairgrounds.com for rescheduled dates.

The Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre is closed until April 9.

The State of the City Address for Spokane Valley address has been postponed until an unknown later date. The Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce will notify the public at a later date when it is rescheduled.

The board of North Idaho Quilters has canceled the March 23 general meeting and the retreat to Palouse Divide, March 26-29. Activity Day, on April 11, will continue as scheduled.

The YWCA at 930 N. Monroe St. will close to the public effective Tuesday. Critical services, including access to our 24-hour safe shelter, will remain available via phone, Skype, or email when possible during this time. Existing clients may call their caseworker with questions and information. The 24-hour domestic violence helpline will remain available; confidential advocates are available by calling (509) 326-2255 or by emailing help@ywcaspokane.org.

Spokane Civic Theatre has announced that productions of “Cabaret,” “The Humans,” “Exile,” and “Funny Girl” will be postponed and rescheduled to yet undetermined dates. “Funny Girl” auditions and academy classes through March 31 have been canceled. The Coeur d’Alene Blues Festival, scheduled for this weekend at the Coeur d’Alene Resort, will move to March 19-21, 2021. The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Coeur d’Alene will be closed to members and the public, and programs and regular offerings will be suspended through April 5.

Bridgepress Cellars’ Spokane Blues Festival planned for May 8-10 has been rescheduled for Nov. 20-21.

Whitman County Library District has closed all 14 branches and the Center. For Patrons who have library materials checked out, due dates will be extended for the duration of the closure and book drops are open for convenient return.

Mt. Spokane Ski and Snowboard park will close for the “foreseeable future.”

Spokane’s climbing gyms Wild Walls and the Bloc Yard Bouldering Gym are closed until further notice.

The Inland Northwest Wildlife Council has canceled Tuesday’s general meeting. The retirement party for outgoing Executive Director Wanda Clifford will be rescheduled.

The Coeur d’Alene Library is closed until further notice. Patrons may still place holds online at www.cdalibrary.org, and staff will attempt to offer curbside delivery services. The branch in Lake City High School closed on Friday. The deadline for the library’s annual writing competition has been extended to April 18.

The Eastern Washington Genealogical Society Annual April Seminar, originally scheduled for April 4, has been postponed until May 2, at the earliest.

First Interstate Center for the Arts has announced the cancellation of Joe Bonamassa and the postponement of Jo Koy, Shen Yun, Behold Jesus, Baby Shark Live!, “Jersey Boys” and Nat Geo Live!: Social by Nature. Jo Koy has been postponed until Oct. 24. All other shows are postponed with new dates to be announced. Tickets for all shows will be honored on the new date.

Central Valley High School has canceled the remainder of its dates for the Winter musical production of “The Little Mermaid,” through March 22.

The Kitchen at Second Harvest has canceled all of their scheduled community cooking classes and events through April 14.

The Greater Spokane County Meals on Wheels will suspend congregate site meal services at its 12 Silver Cafés starting March 20 in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Home delivery service will not be interrupted, and those who eat at the congregate sites can sign up for home delivery. The GSC Meals on Wheels said more volunteers will be needed when more routes are added due to the suspension of congregate sites.
