Personett was as a registered nurse for decades and worked at nine Veterans Administration hospitals and the Spokane County Jail before being appointed to the Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission. She served on the commission for nine years before retiring last year. She has lived in District 9 since 1981. She is unmarried and has three grown children. Personett said she wants to serve as a commissioner to ensure that the quality of care residents receive from paramedics is maintained.
