About The Race

This is one of two positions on the Fairfield Town Council that is contested for the 2013 General Election. Council members earn $1,200 a year and serve four year terms.

The Candidates

Harry Gibbons

Gibbons, 83, has served on the council for the last six years. He operated a dentist’s office in Fairfield for many years before retiring. He previously served as Fairfield’s mayor for 12 years in the 1960s and 1970s. Gibbons believes that the town is currently operating smoothly and doesn’t face any major issues. He said he likes working for the people and is always available to discuss issues with residents.
