On this race:

Amy Evans, 38, is development director for Idaho Youth Ranch and has served six years on the city's Planning Commission. She is founding president of the Coeur d’Alene Education Partnership. Evans is former membership director of the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Coeur d'Alene and founder of the Coeur d’Alene Cancer Challenge Foundation. She describes herself as "a community builder who listens carefully to all the ideas and suggestions." She said she has experience discussing difficult issues and making tough decisions on the planning commission. Evans also said she will focus on growing the economy, creating new jobs and promoting small business.
