On this race:

Jim Hail, 32, is accounts receivable and customer relations manager at Hagadone Directories, Inc., and president of Pacific Northwest Holdings LLC. He has sat on the Post Falls Parks and Receation Commission for six years, the past three as chairman, and on the Promenade Homeowner's Association board for five years, the past three as president. Hail also has been active with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Inland Northwest, TESH Resource Development Committee the Coeur d'Alene Civil Service Commission. He wants Post Falls to attract more business and industry, noting that 89 percent of the city's total land tax revenue comes from residential properties. "It is vital that the city diversify its tax base away from depending so heavily on residential property tax revenue," Hail said. He also supports a denser city core, drawing more tourists to the city, and running the city "in an efficient and open manner. "
