City of Spokane City Of Spokane, Proposition 1
This ballot measure would change how the Spokane mayor’s salary, currently about $172,000 per year, is set. If approved by voters, the same volunteer committee that sets City Council salaries also would be responsible for the mayor’s compensation.

This ballot measure will formalize the city’s municipal court in the city charter. Currently, the court is described only in the city’s municipal code. If approved by voters, the court will be enshrined in the charter, which is the city’s basic guiding document and can only be amended by a vote of the people.
