Political experience: First run for office.

Family: Married to Adam Swensen. Has no children.

Campaign finance: Raised more than $74,200 as of Oct. 7, according to the PDC. Contributors include the Washington Machinists Council, Spokane City Council President Betsy Wilkerson, Naral Pro-Choice Washington, Washington State Democratic Central Committee and Spokane Mayor Lisa Brown.
