The historic Davenport Hotel in downtown Spokane, Wash., was open in 1914. The hotel is named after Louis Davenport, it first first owner and overseer of the project.

Finally complete is the "Hall of Doges" at the Davenport Hotel in downtown Spokane. The room was removed by crane in Febuary 2001 while the Pennington Wing that housed the elegant room was demolished and rebuilt. It celebrated its official grand re-opening Friday evening.
