First decoupage or paint the outside of a mint tin. I enjoy using old magazine pages, maps and other paper goods with interesting images.

Glue beads or small half wood balls to the bottom corners to give the tin feet.

If you have sedum or other hardy ground covers available in your own yard, scoop up a small amount with the soil and place it inside the tin. You also can get small succulents at local garden centers.
