The Idaho Sawtooths
Despite numerous efforts, Idaho has no national park of its own. Efforts for a park in the Sawtooths began as early as 1911. In 1972, Congress approved the act to designate the Sawtooth National Recreation Area within the Sawtooth National Forest.
