Local architect Warren Heylman

Warren Heylman started drawing when he was a child and designed buildings since he trawled distant waters as a young naval officer aboard the USS Warrick during the Korean War. Heylman left his modernist stamp on Spokane as he designed several important Spokane buildings, a handful of houses and some businesses in his career, which spanned from World War II to the present.
