A tribute to Drew Swank

There was community-wide shock when an impact on the football field took the life of high school student Drew Swank, who played for Valley Christian. Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, a gathering at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center honored Drew, and his family, for the donation of his organs. For the gift, Drew's image will be one of many on a Rose Parade float honoring organ donors. At Friday's gathering, his family and friends added to the floral image, or "floragraph" of Drew that will be designed into the float.

Drew Swank’s family and officials from SightLife eye bank and Providence Sacred Heart, as well as many classmates, gather around the design that will portray Drew on a Rose Parade float to honor his organ donation.
