This great egret was searching for fish at Potholes State Park yesterday.

"Get out you trespassers" this swan seems to be saying. After settling on a Turnbull Wildlife Refuge pond these geese were literally chased off by a Tundra Swan. The swan forced all of them off the pond and then followed them in the sky until they disappeared over the horizon. The thinking was that the swans were nesting and therefore not too happy to have the geese so close.

Diablo Lake as seen from the Diablo Lake Overlook in North Cascades National Park in north central Washington. I had never made the trip through the North Cascades so I took the long way on a recent trip to Seattle. I managed to get there just in time to get this shot of Diablo Lake and it's milky blue waters, which give off a moody green glow at night as you can see in the picture. They will start drawing down the lake's level next week.

Bee - We saved this one from being wet, up-side-down in a pool of water. It is drying off. It then flew away, after letting yellow stuff puff out of itself. It was an interesting experience. Loved how fluffy this bee was.
