The feel-good portion of the Seattle Seahawks’ season lasted approximately a game and a half – long enough to forge a dominant win over Indianapolis and form the outline of another comfortable, encouraging triumph over Tennessee.
By all indications, the NFC West is going to be an absolute powerhouse in 2021, four deep with quality teams. Yeah, we already sensed that, but the results of Week 1 forcefully drove home the point that whichever team runs the gauntlet to win this division will have earned every bit of it.
Pete Carroll is now just one of three people to coach an NFL team on a non-interim basis in their 70s. The others are George Halas, who coached the Bears until he was 72, and Marv Levy, who coached the Bills until he was 72.
INDIANAPOLIS – It’s hard to have expected much more out of the Seattle Seahawks in an opener that was as solid of an effort as any in the Pete Carroll era, especially considering playing on the road against a team that won 11 games last season and has similar aspirations this season.
