Spokane Police Arrest Robbery Suspect

From Staff Reports

Spokane police arrested a 22-year-old man they believe robbed at least one North Side business last week.

Lorenco Jacobs, 702 S. Oak, was booked into the Spokane County Jail on Friday for first-degree robbery.

Witnesses during a holdup at the Pay Less Drug Store on North Division identified Jacobs as one of two men who pointed a gun at a clerk’s head and demanded cash.

Also identified was Vince Rupert, 25, who lives with Jacobs on South Oak. He has not been arrested, but police are looking for him, Sgt. Jim Lundgren said.

Rupert also is wanted in connection with the robbery at the 7-Eleven at Maxwell and Maple on Thursday.

Shortly after seeing a security videotape of that robber, Officer Ernie Wuthridge met Rupert on an unrelated call and offered his name as a suspect in the holdup.

Police refused to make public photographs of both suspects because they still are showing them to victims and witnesses in two other robberies last week.
