From Staff Reports

A 54-year-old Clarkston woman died and three others were injured Monday in a car accident on U.S. Highway 2.

Washington State Patrol troopers said Ronda Booher, 20, was westbound on Highway 2 near Hayford Road at about 5:30 p.m. when she drifted off the road and hit a lightpole.

Booher, of Medical Lake, suffered injuries to her face, ribs and neck. She was listed in satisfactory condition at Sacred Heart Medical Center on Tuesday.

A passenger in the car, Virginia Whitmore, of Clarkston, suffered head and internal injuries. She was pronounced dead at Deaconess Medical Center shortly before 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Neither woman wore a seat belt, troopers said.

Booher’s son, Kevin Booher, 3, was listed in serious condition at Deaconess on Tuesday.

He was not wearing a seat belt during the crash and fractured his leg.

Another child, Jeremy Booher, 1, was listed in satisfactory condition at Sacred Heart with cuts and bruises. He was in an infant car seat, troopers said.
