Yeltsin Recuperating, Press Spokesman Says
Boris Yeltsin is steadily recuperating from a heart ailment and now takes several outdoor walks a day, his press spokesman said Friday.
Yeltsin, 64, was hospitalized on Oct. 26 with acute ischemia, a condition restricting blood flow to the heart. It was his second hospitalization this year.
He left the hospital on Monday to continue his recovery at a sanitarium outside Moscow.
On Thursday, an energetic Yeltsin appeared on television to comment on the government’s new monetary policy. It was his fourth television appearance since he was hospitalized.
