Bill Doll Named Templin’s Employee Of The Month

Best Western Templin’s Resort’s Bill Doll was named Employee of the Month for October 1995, by the employees of the resort.

Doll worked for Templin’s Resort from Sept. 1991 through May 1993. He rejoined the staff in Aug. 1994 as a line cook.

He was chosen because of his flexibility to work breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts; friendly personality, willingness to help co-workers and management please the guests; a dependable, positive attitude and very good work performance.

John D. Hunt, Troy, Idaho, received a special invitation to the White House Conference on Travel and Tourism in Washington, D.C.

Hunt, a University of Idaho professor and nationally recognized specialist in tourism and natural resource recreation, joined Idaho Governor Phil Batt and other delegates Laura Eskeew of Moscow, Lynn Calhoun of Wallace, Bob Templin of Post Falls and Kristin Hunt of Troy.

During the conference, Hunt and the Idaho delegates met with delegations from Washington and Oregon to produce tri-state recommendations to the National Tourism Strategy.

Kristen Smith, a sophomore at Princeton University, recently received a $21,065 scholarship for the 1995-96 school year. Smith is the daughter of Randy and Ruth Smith of Coeur d’Alene.

Lakeland High School senior Nichole Hofftee, 16, recently won top honors in the swimsuit portion of the Miss Idaho Teen USA. She competed against eight other teens in the annual pageant.

Post Falls High School sophomore Jodee Smith also participated in the competition.

Sarah E. Polk, 19, was recently named second-runner up in the Miss Idaho USA pageant. A Post Falls resident, she attends the American School of Broadcast.
