Film Details Architectural Gems

The Spokane Arts Commission will show the next film of its Concatenation series at 7 p.m. Thursday in the City Council Chambers, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.

“Louis Kahn,” will detail several buildings of one of the 20th Century’s leading and influential architects, including the Salk Institute in La Jolla, Calif.; the Kimbell Art Museum in Forth Worth, Texas; the library at Phillips Exeter (N.H.) Academy, and the Parliament Building of Bangladesh.

The showing is free.

Auditions

The Spokane Children’s Theatre will conduct auditions for its January production of “Cinderella” at 2 p.m. today, and at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Aloysius School, 611 E. Mission.

There are openings for adults and older teens and a few chorus parts for children, ages 8 to 12.

Valley Repertory Theatre, at the corner of Sprague and Pines, will hold auditions Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m. for its third annual showcase of one-act plays, “New Stage III.”

Men and women, 25 and older, are needed. The plays, written by new playwrights, will be directed by Jodine Wilson and JoAnne Anderson.

Valley Repertory Theatre, corner of Sprague and Pines, will hold auditions for “Table Settings,” Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 11 and 12, at 7 p.m. Brad Picard will direct.

‘The Toy Shelf’

At 2 p.m., Dec. 17, Dance Theatre Northwest will perform “The Toy Shelf” at The Met.

The family Christmas show is a meld of dance, song and drama. “The Toy Shelf,” an original story, is directed by Janet Wilder.
