Dollar Loses Ground
The dollar fell slightly against major currencies Monday as the German mark gained strength in Europe from France’s continuing public worker strikes.
The U.S. currency also fell against the Japanese yen, which analysts said rose mainly for technical reasons.
The dollar would have fallen further against world currencies, but was buoyed by rallies in the U.S. stock and bond markets.
