Madlock Pays Price

Four-time batting champion Bill Madlock, who played for the Spokane Indians in 1973, was fined $5,000, ordered to perform 200 hours of community service and required to pay off a $6,400 debt stemming from bad checks. Madlock’s appearance was brought on by a bad-check debt of $6,500.
