Yanchulova Named All-District

University of Idaho senior outside hitter Tzvetelina Yanchulova was named all-District 8 by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

Yanchulova led Idaho to a fourth consecutive Big Sky Conference title, an NCAA Tournament appearance and a 28-5 record.

She was named the Big Sky Conference Most Valuable Player for both the regular season and the conference tournament.

Yanchulova set single season records for most kills in a season with 632 and best kills-per-game average at 5.87.

The two-time, first-team all-Big Sky Conference performer and former Big Sky Conference “Newcomer of the Year” from Sofia, Bulgaria, also finished second in career kills at Idaho with 1,462.

She was one of 12 players from District 8 selected and the only player from the Big Sky Conference.
