Railroad Crossing Closed For Repairs

The Lignite Road railroad crossing, south of Sandpoint, will be closed Monday from 8 a.m to 6 p.m.

Burlington Northern Railroad is repairing and replacing part of the hazardous crossing.

The crossing may be closed overnight and the work will take place only if weather allows.

There will be access for local traffic only. Bonner County road officials said other traffic will be detoured onto Garfield Bay Road. , DataTimes
