Jackson Moved Out Of Intensive Care

Compiled From Wire Services

Michael Jackson was moved from intensive care Monday and should be out of the hospital soon, his doctors said.

He has resumed eating solid foods, his heart is “completely normal,” he was moved to a private room and his condition was upgraded to stable and improving, Drs. Allan Metzger and William Alleyne said in a statement.

The 37-year-old pop star could be released from Beth Israel Medical Center Tuesday afternoon, although he will need close monitoring and bed rest for several days, they said.

Jackson collapsed Wednesday while rehearsing for an HBO special that was to have aired Sunday.
