Saudi Arabia’s King Released From Hospital
Crown Prince Abdullah chaired Saudi Arabia’s weekly Cabinet meeting Monday in the place of his half-brother, King Fahd, who is resting four days after being released from the hospital.
Overweight, diabetic and a longtime sufferer of arthritis, Fahd was hospitalized Nov. 30 suffering from what the royal court called a “temporary health emergency.” He was released on Thursday with doctors’ orders to rest.
Fahd apparently suffered a stroke.
